A new landmark for Wola

Located in the Wola district in Warsaw, Poland – a neighbourhood with industrial heritage now transforming into a major business and residential hub – the FORM office building spans almost 30 000 square metres across nine floors. The building offers calm, understated spaces that frame lush greenery and abstract art. The seamless, monolithic solution Rockfon Mono Acoustic introduces powerful noise absorption to the expansive common areas and high-footfall zones, transforming the reception and main lobby into calm spaces where conversations carry clearly and daily activity is comfortable.

Everyday comfort with acoustic control

Everyday convenience shapes the experience at the FORM. Its central location offers immediate access to the metro, public transport, and cycling routes, while underground parking, showers, and changing rooms support active commuting. Daylight floods through expansive glazing, and views of the city reinforce a sense of community. Guided by the principle of “neutral, soft, tactile and elegant”, the interior design creates serene, structured zones for both work and gatherings. The two-storey lobby exemplifies this approach: a representative circulation space that doubles as a place to pause and meet, enriched with tall greenery linking to the central patio. Natural materials – wood, stone, plaster, and wallpaper - paired with abstract artworks add touches of vivid character.

Acoustics were considered a cornerstone of the design. Rockfon Mono Acoustic was specified across the lobby and lift areas, with which the team achieved uniform vertical and horizontal planes that reinforce the architectural form. “We were looking for an acoustic product that would allow us to create a single seamless surface that serves as a perfect backdrop for other interior elements," explains Łukasz Jarząbek, architect at Emkaa Architekci. "The possibility of applying the product to different planes – both walls and ceilings – was a decisive factor in the material selection".

“The strength of Rockfon Mono Acoustic lies in its unobtrusiveness. Visually, it does not differ from a standard plaster-finished wall, yet it significantly improves the acoustic comfort of a space", explains Łukasz Jarząbek. "Unlike most acoustic materials, which are modular in nature, Rockfon Mono Acoustic creates a homogeneous backdrop without secondary divisions that could draw attention.” The system’s invisible access panels added another advantage, concealing technical elements without disrupting cohesion. Together, these qualities create bright, calm interiors where reduced reverberation and improved speech intelligibility, supporting communication and focus.

An enduring asset for the city

With its calm interiors and user-focused amenities, the FORM is a well-considered addition to the ever-emerging Wola district. Its strong sustainability profile is confirmed by an array of certifications: LEED Platinum, AIRSCORE D&O Platinum, ACTIVESCORE Platinum, WIREDSCORE Platinum, SMARTSCORE Platinum, and the “Barrier-Free Facility” designation. These qualities together position the building as a workplace designed to serve both its users and the wider city with long-term credibility.
