Yes. Rockfon Blanka® B edge tiles and Blanka Activity® B edge tiles can be bonded to walls and soffits. Dependent on substrate, specific application and noise absorption requirements, they provide an effective bonded solution with minimal reduction to existing ceiling / soffit height.

If tiles need to be cut (eg. at the junction of the ceiling with a wall), they can be done so very easily and cleanly by hand using a sharp knife. In most applications, except that is for designated clean room areas and the like, the painting of a site cut edge is only necessary for aesthetic reasons where the cut edge remains visible in application.

Rockfon ceilings are non-hygroscopic and humidity/ moisture resistant up to 100% RH at 40° C, so can be used in areas that are subject to fluctuations in humidity and temperature. This also means that there is no need to acclimatize the products, thereby greatly reducing the need to plan ahead regarding possible installation times and environmental conditions.

The best practice way to deal with this is to ensure that 600mm long Chicago Metallic™ T24, 2890 Click cross tees are installed to create a 600mm x 600mm module where the lights are to be positioned and to use 600mm x 600mm Rockfon Blanka® E24 (rebated/tegular) edge tiles in the adjacent (to luminaires) module. This will create an aesthetically pleasing solution and will reduce the amount of on site cutting, cut edge repainting etc. otherwise required.
