In most applications, except that is for designated clean room areas and the like, the painting of a site cut edge is only necessary for aesthetic reasons where the cut edge remains visible in application. Therefore, in anything other than a designated clean room application, due to the inert nature and stability of Rockfon tiles, a non-visible cut edge would normally not require re-painting.
However, if e.g. Rockfon Hygienic® Plus tiles are being used in designated clean room areas which have to operate in accordance with ISO 14644 etc. and there is a need for the ceiling tiles to have been tested in accordance with ISO 14644-1, or it is requested by a client that all cut edges should be repainted, the cut edge(s) of the tiles should be repainted using Rockfon Paint.
The general rule of thumb is: if a site cut edge remains visible in its finished application it should be repainted with Rockfon Paint.
